Calling all green thumbs! Ferncourt Gardeners need you to volunteer with the gardening classes for our students.
In term 1 the Wednesday garden classes will be for Years 5 and 6. Subsequent terms will have different class groups. You are welcome to volunteer just for the terms that your child will be in the classes.
Sign up here via Google doc where there is also further information on times and class content.
Absolutely NO expectations for you to be a gardening guru just a desire to hang with the kids and catch some garden sunshine 🙂
Do you want to get your hands dirty in the school’s eco garden. Would you like to link up with other Ferncourt parents and carers who have a green bent?
Rather than having regular meetings, we tend to call working bees when there is something to be done, or when there is something interesting happening. So check out our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/169732786906226/
We are lucky in being able to draw on a wide set of skills in the school community - let us know if you are handy with tools or have any trade qualifications. Grant writers, designers and environmentally knowledgable people, Or anyone who just wants to get involved. We are also keen to support people doing their own thing in their own time.
But there’s a lot more to do, and we would welcome your involvement – at any level. We’d also love to hear any ideas you might have. So please send an email to Janine via ohjanineo@gmail.com.
