The Ferncourt Family Fair 2026 was a huge success!

The 2026 Ferncourt Family Fair was a vibrant, inclusive and community-focused event that successfully brought together students, families, staff, local businesses and the wider community. It was great to see so much of our community come along, soak up the atmosphere and be part of a day that brings our whole community together — all while raising vital funds to support our school. 💛

The Fair achieved its dual goals of:

Celebrating the Ferncourt community and school spirit through a fun and engaging event.
Raising vital funds to support student learning and future school initiatives.

Despite broader economic pressures and a challenging volunteer environment during the planning phase, the event delivered a strong financial outcome, exceptional attendance and overwhelmingly positive community feedback.

Thank you to our community

The Fair demonstrated the strength of the Ferncourt community, with more than 200 volunteers contributing on the day and over 30 entertainment acts participating across the program. Community partnerships and sponsorship support were outstanding, and the event was further elevated by the attendance of local MP Jo Haylen, who officially opened the Fair.

It was a spectacular day of rides, games, delicious food, market stalls, live entertainment and plenty for kids (and grown-ups!) to enjoy. From homemade treats and pre-loved treasures to raffles, prizes and our buzzing silent auction, there was something around every corner.

Why is the fair so important to our community?

It’s Ferncourt P&C's main fundraising event and only happens once every few years. Making it a success is so important to the P&C’s ongoing support of the school community
Our Fair is about making great memories for our kids and creating a landmark event in their Primary School years that they can enjoy, feel proud of and look back on
The Fair brings our community together. It’s rewarding to feel part of something so important to our school, whether you volunteer on the book stall, bake a cake or donate clothes for the second hand boutique, it all counts
