The P&C runs several events each year, and we're always looking for volunteers to help out. Many hands make light work 🫶

Volunteering at an event is a fun way to meet other families and get involved in the school community.

There are roles that almost anyone can do, like setup, packup, BBQ helpers, food servers, and cashiers. We'd also love to hear from anyone with skills like catering, RSA, lighting & sound, music, or perhaps you're a great MC?

Assistant P&C roles for secretary & communications

We are looking for people to help with these roles, with the possibility of taking ownership of these roles next year. Suits someone into creative writing, preferably a bit tech savvy (but not critical) and perfect for being shared amongst a small team.

These roles are very rewarding without being huge time burdens, especially with recent efficiency improvements.

Ferncourt Music is looking for passionate helpers!

Whatever you can offer, please jump in. 2025 will be a big year for music, including a push to resume our training band and increase festival participation numbers.

It's a very small time committment. We need help with admin tasks, and have roles that can suit whereever your passion lies. There is also lots of opportunities for fresh ideas and new approaches!

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to teach in primary school? Would you like to help expand young minds, encourage critical thinking and help grow the next generation of good citizens? 

How about volunteering to teach ethics at Ferncourt in 2025?! 

Ferncourt volunteer ethics teachers have always been in short supply; and in 2025 we’re in particular need for many more ethics teachers to provide the ethics class opportunity for all children that opt-in. 

The obligation is a short 30mins on Thursday mornings from 9:30 until 10:00. Full training is provided and each lesson is prepared for you. It’s simple and straightforward. A small way to make a big difference.

Calling all green thumbs! Ferncourt Gardeners need you to volunteer with the gardening classes for our students.

Each term will have a different stage assigned to the classes.

Absolutely NO expectations for you to be a gardening guru just a desire to hang with the kids and catch some garden sunshine 🙂
