As of 25th June, we have raised $18,950 from 57 donations.
These funds must be used towards building improvements, and we are currently earmarking these funds towards the replacement of aging interactive white boards (IWBs).
Organised by Billy, Alexa and Katie.
Although we concentrate our communications during June, donations can be made all year round.

UDDERLY AMAZING GARDENING BEE!
Last Sunday saw the Ferncourt green-thumbs out in droves! We had 40 odd people join in on some environmental goodness.
The highlight was the repainting of the entire herd of Ferncourt cattle (i.e. one cow). The winning designers were A and B both from 1/2PB. Both were on-hand to help realise their designs.
A huge thankyou to Kate and Janine for organising the day. Thanks for cake donations, including from Debbie and Pip. It is both wonderful that there were too many people for me to name everyone, but also annoying as you all deserve kudos!
A big thankyou to everyone who supported our Mothers Day flower sale. The lovely native bouquets are conveniently picked up from the school on Mothers Day morning, and they are long lasting as they dry very well.
A big thanks to Marcel for organising and running this fundraiser. We raised about $500 for the P&C. Marcel has coordinated throughout the year with the suppliers, put up posters and was at the school to hand out the flowers. Thank you.
On Election Day the P&C ran a BBQ and bake sale. It was a huge day.

The Gardening Bee was fun because we did banana stripping, mulching, cutting and we got to eat some cake!
My favourite was banana stripping. When we did banana stripping the adults cut dead branches and the kids picked up the strips and put them in a pile. After that we did mulching, we sprinkled the mulch around the garden to help the plants grow.
After that we crushed “bad” branches. Then we cut some leaves on the sharp spiky plants think of it as giving them a haircut. At the end we had strawberry and coconut cake and peppermint tea (from the garden) and all the kids played in the playground.
It was the biggest gardening day ever!

Last Friday, on Feb 21, Ferncourt hosted its annual Welcome Back Barbeque. The place was bustling with children and their relatives who were eager to take a bite of the free grill-cooked sausages and freezing-cold iceblocks. To add to that, there were tables with information on the school Band, Strings group, choir, and many other wholesome activities, including the Marrickville Marauders, an after-school fencing club. Other than those events, there was a second-hand uniform shop and Eco garden and outdoor learning.
The Barbeque commenced at 3:30 and finished at 5:30. But it was only made possible by the amazing volunteers who gave up their evening to contribute to helping us make the Barbeque happen.
I’d been looking forward to this for days. So when the bell rang to signal the end of school, I rushed out the door as fast as my legs would carry me. I was signed into OSHC so I had to wait till Mum came, but the moment she signed me out, I was off like a bullet. I devoured three sausages and a couple of ice blocks. Immediately after, I contributed towards promoting Strings and Band, as I play in the Strings group. The rest of my time there was spent on hanging out with my friends and putting up Band posters.
A big thanks to our helpers- (apologies if anyone was missed!)
