About the P&C

The aim of the P&C is to bring parents, local community members, students and teachers together in close cooperation.

We try to help the school in three main areas:

Without the P&C, Ferncourt would not have its toe-tappingly-good band, its peaceful eco-garden or its accomplished after-school activities like fencing, dancing and languages.

Over the years, the P&C funding as has helped supply Ferncourt with solar panels, digital whiteboards, teaching aides and iPads.

The P&C organises many social activites to bring the Ferncourt community together, such as the New Parent Welcome BBQ, end of term picnics, School discos, a biennial Fiesta and our famous Ferncourt Family Fair.

We welcome parents and carers who can help in any way, even if just for a few hours.  Every little bit helps!  You can take charge of a BBQ, bake cakes, donate prizes for raffles or pull up weeds at gardening bee!  You can also take charge of organising some of our major fundraisers if you want to sink your teeth into a larger project - just contact the P&C if you want to get involved!!

Please feel free to join us for P&C meetings, we love to see new faces.  Meetings are generally held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm in the School Library.

FERNCOURT PUBLIC SCHOOL P&C ASSOCIATION is a registered charity, and is required to report to the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profit Commision. You can see our latest reports at- https://www.acnc.gov.au/charity/charities/3650387a-39af-e811-a963-000d3ad24077/profile

What the P&C is not...

It is important to note that the P&C does not have influence over school policy or educational decisions. This is the responsibility of the Principal and the School Leadership.

If there is anything you want to discuss in relation to your child’s learning, school experience or specific needs, the P&C recommend you make an appointment to discuss it with their class teacher.

OSHC and other after school care programs are not linked to the P&C and any queries you have should be discussed directly with the relevant service provider.

The school canteen and uniform shop used to be run by the P&C but are now run independently.
